UFC 100 Aftermath: Two Views on Brock Lesnar Past.

Watching the Lesnar / Mir fight, I was oddly reminded of Rocky iV (as well as during the Henderson / Bisping fight). Remember when Apollo Creed was fighting Ivan Drago and Drago just stalked Creed, engrossing vain punches, looking to get that one big shot? Well, now that Brock has been able to button his emotions in the octagon and torpid things down, he is just looking to get the incontestable takedown, inundate the bloke then found and work over out a victory. If he can just guard himself from a gleam hit by keeping the hands up, chin tucked, and hit forward, he’ll get his hands on the other fighter eventually. Even after Mir rocked him, Lesnar took him down, waited until he got his senses back then started slamming him with cinder blocks.

Mir wasn’t able to get out from underneath him or do anything from his back when that would have been the criterion control to undertake a sweep. But positively could anyone do a reach with a cramped to 300 throb wrestling maintain keeping you pinned? With due politeness to great apply up fighters have a fondness Silva and Machida, there are far more examples of assertive fighters with prime skills at the set and pound. It doesn’t purport who you are, Lesnar’s simple size and fuel will eventually overwelm you. It will be shocking to see what happens once he learns to head start striking with accuracy and starts nailing plebeians right on the chin.

Until then I estimate we’ll all have to negotiate for him using those lunch box range fists to meat tenderize the cope with of anyone he faces. He’ll be champ for a while.
